“Journey into the Beats of Japan” was the title of the Otowaza evening produced by Guy Perryman and hosted by live house Claps.

My stage ikebana display was inspired by fireworks and Japanese summer festivals. For this installation I used 5 structural elements- representing the senses- branching off a main bamboo stem. Gloriosa, oncidium and allium Schubertii added colour and impact. The whole arrangement was intended as a metaphor for unity in diversity.

Japanese traditional instruments, geisha performance, live DJ, bon odori, games with guests, amazing food, 5 Senses ikebana all came together on stage, on a special evening celebrating music, dance, summer and joy of life.
